Ink Transition — Copy 1 (2)
An organic ink bleed transition clip for cutting between shots with a hand-painted, grunge feel. Drop it on a track above your footage and blend with Screen or Lighten.
This is a rendered ink transition clip supplied as an MP4, so it plays back instantly in almost any editor without plugins or codec headaches. It is designed to sit on a track above your footage and reveal the next shot through spreading ink, which makes it a strong fit for music videos, documentary intros, title reveals and stylised social edits.
Because it is a flattened MP4 rather than an alpha-channel file, the cleanest results come from blend modes. Set the clip to Screen, Lighten or Add so the black areas drop out and only the ink remains, then trim the clip so the transition lands exactly on your cut point. If you need the ink to read darker, duplicate the layer or lower the opacity of the underlying clip instead of using Multiply.
At roughly 32 MB the file is light enough to keep in a project bin without slowing down your timeline, and it scales reasonably well for 1080p and 1440p delivery. For 4K timelines, scale up modestly and add a touch of sharpening, since upscaling a compressed MP4 will soften edges. The filename suggests it is a duplicate copy, so check your bin for the original before importing to avoid version confusion.
How to use this resource
Import the MP4 and place it on a video track directly above your footage, positioned so the ink spread covers your cut point. Change the clip's blend mode to Screen or Lighten so the black background disappears and only the ink shows. Trim the head and tail so the transition starts and finishes exactly on your edit.Compatible with
