Bad Signal

Bad Signal is a distressed display OTF font with a raw, glitchy edge. Ideal for posters, thumbnails, horror titles and bold branding that needs grit.

Bad Signal is a single-weight display typeface delivered as an OTF file, built for headlines that need attitude rather than polish. Its rough, degraded letterforms give text a worn, broadcast-error feel that reads instantly at large sizes. Because it is a display font, it performs best in short bursts: titles, logos, poster headers, YouTube thumbnails, album art and social graphics. Avoid setting long paragraphs with it, as the distressed detailing reduces legibility at small sizes. The OTF format installs natively on both Windows and macOS, so it drops straight into Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Figma and Canva without conversion.

How to use this resource

Install the OTF by double-clicking it and choosing Install (Windows) or Install Font (macOS), then restart your editing app. Select Bad Signal from your font menu and apply it to short headline text at large sizes. Pair it with a clean sans-serif for supporting copy to keep layouts readable.
